DEIONISATION ...

Dissolved mineral salts are present in all crude water. These salts diverge into as positively charged cations and negatively-charged anions. With deionisation system, almost all of these ions are removed from the water and purification process is performed.

Deionisation System is the process of removal of mineral in water, namely; anion and cation ions. This process can be performed with two different methods;

RESINOUS SYSTEMS MIXED BED

It is done by applying the traditional method, namely; ion exchangers that contain resin filling. The unit, in which cation ions are removed is called Cation Exchanger; the unit, in which anion ions are removed is called Anion Exchanger

The unit, which has both types of resin within, in which both anionic and cationic ions are removed, is called Mixed Bed Ion Exchanger (Mixed Bed). Raw material passing through ion exchangers, exchanges its cationic charges (Ca, Mg, Na) with H+ ion bound to cation exchanger resins; whereas it exchanges its anionic charges (Cl, So4, HCO3, SiO2) with OH- ion bound to anion exchanger resins. OH- and H+ ions, given to water at the end of ion exchange, get together and form water molecule.

Water, separated from positive and negative charged ions at the output of the system, is purified to a large extent. Resins, receiving ion charges in water, reaches up to saturation point, which means they start to not to produce water of intended quality. Refreshing of consumed resins (getting free from trapped ions) is realised with regeneration process. During regeneration, anionic resin renews itself with caustic and cationic resin renews itself with acid. There are also throwaway deionisation systems that could not be regenerated. At these systems, after resin reaches up to saturation point, it is replaced by the new one.

Output water quality at deionisation systems depends on various factors such as tank number, raw water quality, ion exchange type and amount.

ELECTRODEIONISATIONEDI

Electrodeionisation is a technology that purifies water by using a combination of ion exchange resins, ion selection membranes squeezed between two electrodes and anode (-) and cathode (+) under the correct current. Ion selective membranes operate with the same principles as ion exchange resins.

At Ion Selective Membranes;

Anion selective membranes let anions to pass but not cations.

Cation selective membranes let cations to pass but not anions..

Membranes do not let water molecules to pass.

Anion and cation constitute an integrity in a frame module of membranes with hollow and alternative layers and pure water production and concentrated waste parallel sections. Particle forms that integrity is called "stack". Ion selective membranes fix on an inert polymer frame. Hollows in these frame are filled with ion exchange resins. Between pure water production channels, there are concentrated waste channels.

In order to meet electrodeionisation (EDI) feed water, well-designed uni- or double-stage reverse osmosis devices are needed. Electrodeionisation (EDI) feed water that will be obtained from Optimum-designed reverse osmosis device, prolongs the life of Electrodeionisation (EDI) modules and make them operate efficiently.

MİXEDBED REÇİNEMİXBED - KARIŞIK YATAK

Mixedbed Reçineler suyun geçişi esnasında su içinde bulunan iyonların ayrımını yapmaktadır. Su saflaştırma işlemlerinde ve sudan spesifik iyon ayrımı yapılacak işlemlerde ihtiyaca göre çeşitli reçineler kullanılır.

ANTRASİT...

Antrasit' ler içme, proses, atık su ve havuz suyu arıtımında basınçlı veya basınçsız filtreler kullanılarak uygulanır. Antrasitin kirletici tutma kapasitesi standart kum filtrelerine göre 4.5 kat daha yüksektir. Böylece filtrenin servis süresi arttırılırken ters yıkamada harcanan su miktarı da 1.5 kat azaltılmış olur.

DOLOMİT ...

Dolomit, kireç taşında kalsiyum ve magnezyumun birlikte yer almasından oluşan doğal bir mineraldir. Su arıtma proseslerinde Ters ozmoz sistemi sonrasında saflaştırılmış olan ürün suyunun pH değerini yükseltmek ve ek mineral kazandırmak için işlemi için kullanılır. "Son filtrasyon (re-mineralizasyon – mineral takviyesi)"

Dolomit filtreler manüel kontrollüdür. Su, filtre içerisinde yukarıdan aşağıya doğru süzülürken dolomit minerali eriyerek suya kalsiyum, magnezyum ve karbonat gibi doğal mineraller kazandırmış olur. Zaman içerisinde eridikçe eksilen mineralin üzerine yenisi ilave edilerek suya mineral ilave etme işlemine devam edilir.
